To be a brown girl, a mixed race girl! That's me, I call myself a brown girl, caramel lady. Sounds funny to some but this is me. Yes I am mixed with quite a few things, Irish/Dutch, Native American Indian (Cherokee/Blackfoot) and Black and maybe some other things, you never know. Both my parents are mixed and my whole family looks very different, it's as if we created a whole different race, really truly, I mean this. I get asked alot, where are you from? What are you mixed with? Are you mixed? In the beginning I used to be very sensitive about these questions but I have learned now to go with the flow and accept who I am.
This is me, God made me this way for a reason and I am darn proud of being me. And I notice as our world changes and grows, there are many other people who are mixed like myself. I really like it when I see another mixed person. And you know what, I think mixed people are the best looking! We have the best of several worlds in us. So cheers to those of us who are mixed and cannot be classified as one race!
